Piercing Brightness is a science fiction feature length film directed by Shezad Dawood. The film utilizes science fiction as a backdrop from which to contest fixed notions of race, migration and identity.

A young Chinese couple are sent to the UK to retrieve the ‘Glorious 100’ – alien agents who landed on earth a thousand years ago in order to study and observe the planet but who have become corrupted and influenced by their adopted home.
